In April 2020 we visited Nigardsbreen, Jostedalen, Norway. We recorded everything. We spent 13 hours up there on the first day, 9 on the second. All the sound / music we have made is composed from natural sounds: the sounds of the glacier (ice, wind, water, slush, avalanche) slowed down or sped up. The project is called Ghosting Glacier and it documents the shrinking of the glacier and the human relationship to it.

We cleaned up and processed the audio, made it into music and went back in late September for a performance: contemporary dance on top of the glacier, with the music we've made played back through underground tunnels in the glacier itself.

This was filmed and made into a multi-screen installation and a short film and will be played at music, dance and film festivals in 2021. Many thanks to our sponsors: Beyerdynamic, BOSE, Showlab and Rycote.
